What is Atorvastin?
Atorvastatin (a common cholesterol-lowering drug) is frequently associated with mild, asymptomatic and self-limited serum aminotransferase elevations during therapy. It is rarely associated with acute, clinically obvious liver injury.

Feeling sick (nausea) or indigestion
Headaches
Nosebleeds
Sore throat
Cold-like symptoms like a runny or blocked nose.
Flatulence or constipation
Diarrhoea
If side effects are persistent or bothersome and you are unable to find relief, you should inform your doctor.
Serious side effects
Contact 111 or your doctor if you are having trouble stopping taking atorvastatin.
Unresolved pain, tenderness or weakness may be a sign of muscle damage. These symptoms could indicate muscle damage or muscle breakdown.
You may notice yellowing of your whites or skin. This could indicate liver problems.
A pinkish or reddish rash may appear on your skin, especially the palms and soles of your feet. This could indicate erythemamultiforme.
Severe stomach pain could indicate acute Pancreatitis.
Feeling short of breath or having a cough can be a sign that you have lung disease.
Drinking alcohol regularly can increase your liver risk and cause side effects from atorvastatin.
